What is the effective date of the policies?

For this initial open enrollment, your plan will go into effect on July 1, 2025.

For new hires to your company, they must enroll within the first 60-days of employment.  Their benefits will go into the 1st of the month following 90-days of employment.

Can my employees pay for their benefits directly?

Your employees do not pay directly.  The benefit plan is contracted directly with your company; therefore, your company will be invoiced monthly, from our third party administrator - Howell Benefits - for all the benefits your employees are enrolled in.  

The company is responsible to payroll deduct any outstanding premiums and remit them on your employees behalf.

To assist, you will receive a detailed summary of all employee-elected benefits, including the total monthly billing amount to your company and a per-pay-period breakdown for setting up payroll deductions.

How do I pay?

Yes! Independent contractors may enroll in coverage as long as they are members of the BABRM. They will follow the same enrollment process as business owners.

How can I see my benefit information?

Once your enrollment is complete, you'll receive instructions to create an account on your dedicated member portal. There, you can view and download your certificate details, coverage information, and other policy documents.

How can I add or remove employees after open enrollment ends?

You can easily add or remove employees anytime through your member portal. With just a few clicks, you can make updates, and the changes will be processed seamlessly.

Can I make a change to my coverage after open enrollment ends?

Yes! You can update your plans at any time—changes will take effect the following month. If you need to cancel a plan, you can do so anytime, with cancellation effective the next month.

 We’ve made filing a claim as straightforward as possible:

  1. Obtain Care: Once you or a covered dependent receives care, you or your provider can submit the relevant claim form.

  2. Submit Documentation: Forms are available through your dedicated benefits portal or by contacting the carrier’s customer service. Make sure to include any required documentation, such as itemized bills or receipts.
